Lanzarote and Fuerteventura - Canary Islands

Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are the easternmost of the autonomous Canary Islands, in the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 125 km off the coast of Africa and 1,000 km from the Iberian Peninsula. Lanzarote is of volcanic origin. The mountainous area of Lanzarote is called Timanfaya National Park. The island is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve protected site. Fuerteventura is often referred to as the island of eternal spring.
